Erkin Karamemet is a graphic and type designer based in Cologne, Germany. Through type design and graphic formgiving, he develops visual solutions across different media and formats. Trained in visual communication with a focus on typography, he later specialized in type design. His collaboration with Dinamo marked an important chapter in this development. Over the course of more than a decade, he contributed to numerous projects, including Favorit, Pareto, Prophet, Social, Diatype, Whyte, and Ikarus. His debut release, ABC Repro, is also part of the Dinamo library.

His independent practice is structured in two distinct but connected parts. Erkin Karamemet — Office for Type Design & Graphic Formgiving is the studio through which he develops custom work, including bespoke type design, custom lettering, wordmarks, logo design, and typographic solutions for specific clients and contexts.

Typefaces Designed by Erkin Karamemet is the label under which his retail fonts — Baumer Grotesk, Modena, Notice, Roumald, and Ultimo — are published and distributed. While the office focuses on commissioned and custom work, the label serves as the platform for his retail typefaces, making them available to a wider international audience.
