Roobert is a mono-linear, geometric sans-serif typeface characterized by its clean, horizontal and vertical terminals, and smooth connections on the stems. Originally crafted as a custom typeface for Moogfest 2017, Roobert draws its foundational inspiration from the Moog logotype — notably its unique single-story 'g' with a rounded bottom corner and a streamlined finish. This inspiration is evident in the typeface's distinct 'bent pipe' feature, observed in the comma and echoed throughout the entire typeface. Named in homage to Robert Moog, the American engineer, electronic music pioneer, and founder of Moog Music, Roobert carries the legacy of its namesake's groundbreaking invention, the Moog synthesizer. Beyond its aesthetic allure, Roobert is linguistically versatile, supporting Latin and Central European languages with revised Greek and Cyrillic, and now also Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, and Korean.
